Wine
Wine standards are calibration solutions for the sugar, alcohol and density measurements made throughout winemaking. Wineries, bottling plants and drinks testing laboratories use them to check refractometers, density meters and alcohol analysers.
The 46 Reagecon listings fall into two main families. Sucrose (Brix) standards, such as 0%, 14.9% and 19.4% w/w sucrose in water, are used to verify refractometers and Brix instruments from grape must through to finished wine. Ethanol density standards, for example 10% v/v ethanol in water with a nominal density of 0.9865 g/mL, support density-based alcohol determination.
Pick Brix standards that bracket the sugar levels you measure, with a 0% standard for the zero check, and choose ethanol standards close to the alcoholic strength of your wines. Many of these standards are equally relevant to other drinks producers. Ask us for a quotation on a complete set.
