Spectrophotometry Standards
Spectrophotometry standards are liquid reference materials used to qualify UV-Vis spectrophotometers for resolution, bandwidth and related performance checks. Pharmaceutical QC and analytical laboratories use them during instrument qualification and periodic verification.
Among the 72 Reagecon listings are bandwidth and resolution standards based on toluene in hexane, measured as the ratio of the 268.7 nm peak to the 266.8 nm trough, with matching blanks. Versions prepared to Ph. Eur. requirements are listed alongside the general standards.
Select the resolution standard and its blank as a pair, and choose the Ph. Eur. version where your pharmacopoeial method demands it. Other instrument checks may call for the colour or refractive index standards in the Physicochemical section. Lancetech Limited can quote other spectrophotometry standards on request.
