RPC Desalting Column

RPC desalting columns are reversed-phase cartridges that bind peptides and proteins while salts and buffer wash through, then release the sample in a small volume of organic eluent. Proteomics and biopharmaceutical laboratories use them for desalting and concentration before LC-MS.

Five GVS sizes are available: 50 mg in a 1 mL cartridge (100 per pack), 100 mg and 300 mg in 3 mL cartridges (50 per pack) and 1 g in a 6 mL cartridge (30 per pack). This spread lets a laboratory move from small digests up to larger protein preparations without changing the chemistry.

Size the bed to the mass of material you need to retain, allowing headroom so the sample does not break through during loading. A 96-well version, the RPC desalting plate, is listed separately, and the C18 desalting column is an alternative option in the same range.
