Mobile Phase
Mobile Phase listings are ready-prepared eluents for HPLC, saving the time and variability of making up buffers and acidified solvents in the laboratory. Chromatographers in pharmaceutical, food, environmental and contract testing laboratories use them for routine methods.
Four Reagecon mobile phases are currently listed: 0.1% formic acid in water, 0.1% formic acid in methanol, an ammonium acetate and acetic acid in water buffer, and SFA Buffer A. Formic acid eluents are the staple of reversed-phase separations, while the acetate buffer suits methods that call for a controlled-pH aqueous phase.
When choosing, match the mobile phase exactly to the composition written in your method and check that the modifier concentration is the same. Pre-made eluents are most valuable where several analysts share a method and consistency between batches matters. For the columns themselves, see our chromatography range. If you need a different composition prepared, Lancetech Limited can quote on request.
