Dissolution Media

Dissolution media are buffered solutions used in dissolution testing of tablets and capsules, prepared in line with the United States, European and Japanese Pharmacopoeias. Pharmaceutical QC and formulation development laboratories use them to run release and stability tests consistently.

The 103 Reagecon products are mainly supplied as concentrates to be diluted to working volume before use. Examples include JP 2nd Dissolution Fluid concentrate and Acetate Buffer pH 4.5 with either 0.5 or 1.0 percent sodium dodecyl sulphate, prepared in accordance with USP and EP requirements.

Select the medium by the pharmacopoeia your method references, then by pH and any surfactant content specified in the monograph. The parent Pharmacopoeias section also holds the individual compendial reagent ranges. Lancetech Limited can quote media for a specific dissolution method on request.
