Cryoscope Standards

Cryoscope standards are freezing point reference solutions used to calibrate cryoscopes in milk and dairy testing. Dairy processors, milk testing laboratories and inspection bodies use them to keep freezing point depression results within method requirements.

Ten Reagecon products are listed, including Cryoscope Standard 000 at 0.000°C, Cryoscope Standard 422 at -0.408°C (422 m°H), and a Cryoscope Bath Liquid for the instrument cooling bath. Values are expressed in both degrees Celsius and milli-degrees Hortvet to suit either instrument scale.

Most routine calibrations use a zero and a working point near the expected milk freezing point, so the 000 and 422 standards are normally bought together.
