Sucrose in Water Standards
Sucrose in water standards are reference solutions of sucrose at a stated percentage, expressed as Brix, used to calibrate refractometers and Brix meters. Sugar, juice, beverage and confectionery laboratories use them to verify dissolved solids measurements.
Reagecon prepares the 17 listings as reference materials at closely spaced values, including 10, 11.2, 11.5 and 12 percent sucrose in water. The fine steps let you pick a value close to the expected sample reading rather than relying on a distant calibration point.
For a stabilised alternative, see the Brix (Stabilised) Standards range in the same Physicochemical section, and for single sugars at 1 g/l see the Analytical Standards range. Lancetech Limited can quote other sucrose concentrations on request.
