Brix (Stabilised) Standards
Brix (Stabilised) standards are refractometer calibration solutions with a stated percentage Brix at 20°C. Fruit juice, soft drink, sugar and brewing laboratories use them to check refractometers and Brix meters before measuring dissolved solids in products.
The 38 Reagecon listings are stabilised Brix solutions, each referenced to 20°C. Values start at 0 percent Brix, which serves as a zero check, continue through 10 percent and carry on with further values across the range so that most sample types can be bracketed.
For an unstabilised sucrose alternative, see the Sucrose in Water Standards listed alongside in the Physicochemical section. Pick values that bracket the Brix range of your samples, and include a zero standard for daily checks. Lancetech Limited can quote the full set or individual values.
