Trace Analysis
Trace Analysis reagents are the high purity acids and bases used to digest, dilute and preserve samples before trace metal determination. Laboratories running ICP-MS, ICP-OES or AAS at low detection limits need reagents whose own metal content will not raise the blank.
Four Reagecon high purity trace analysis reagents are listed: nitric acid at a minimum of 67%, sulphuric acid at a minimum of 95% and ammonia solution at a minimum of 21%, with nitric acid offered in two listings.
Nitric acid is the usual choice for digestion and for matching the matrix of ICP and AAS standards, sulphuric acid serves methods that call for it, and ammonia solution is used where a sample needs neutralising or a basic matrix. Pair these reagents with the Reagecon single and multi element standards in the sections alongside. Lancetech Limited can quote trace analysis reagents on request.
