APHA AWWA & WEF Test Methods
APHA AWWA & WEF Test Methods reagents are prepared solutions for the standard methods used in water and wastewater examination. Water utilities, environmental testing laboratories and effluent treatment plants use them so that each reagent matches the method as written.
Eleven Reagecon solutions are listed, including alum solution 10% w/v, ammonium molybdate 4% w/v, and ammonium oxalate at both 4% w/v and 5% w/v. Each is made up to the concentration the method specifies, which removes the weighing and dissolution steps from the analyst's bench and gives a consistent starting point across batches.
To choose, work from the method section number in your copy of the standard methods and match the reagent name and strength exactly. Where a method offers two concentrations of the same reagent, as with ammonium oxalate, select the one your procedure names. For COD-specific reagents, see Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) under Electrochemistry. Request a quotation for routine supply.
