Ultrafiltration cassette
Ultrafiltration cassettes are flat-sheet membrane modules used in bioprocessing to concentrate, clarify or exchange buffer in biological feedstocks. Process development scientists and downstream purification teams use an ultrafiltration cassette where a syringe filter or disc membrane cannot handle the volume.
The 64 GVS cassettes listed here cover a 0.11 m² membrane area with cut-offs that include 0.1 µm, 0.22 µm and 0.45 µm microfiltration ratings as well as a 1 kD molecular weight cut-off, each supplied individually so a process can be matched to the retention it needs.
Choose the cut-off by the size of the species you want to retain and the one you want to pass: a microfiltration rating clears cells and debris, while a kilodalton cut-off holds back proteins during concentration. Lancetech Limited supplies these GVS cassettes to UK laboratories and will quote on larger process requirements.
