Tissue Culture Plate Inserts

Tissue culture plate inserts suspend a porous membrane inside a well so cells can be grown on a permeable support with medium on both sides, a format used across cell biology laboratories.

Thirty-five GVS inserts are listed. The samples shown are 24 mm inserts for 6 well plates with a polycarbonate (PC) membrane, available in pore sizes of 0.1 µm, 0.4 µm, 1.0 µm and 3 µm. Each is surface treated and sterilised, supplied 6 inserts to a plate with 4 plates per case, so the plate arrives with the inserts already in place.

Pore size is the main choice: smaller pores hold cells on the membrane while allowing medium exchange, and larger pores allow cells to pass through. Match the insert diameter to your plate format. Ask us for a quotation on multiple cases.
