Redox Standards

Redox Standards, also called ORP standards, are solutions of defined oxidation/reduction potential used to check redox electrodes and meters. Water treatment, environmental and process laboratories use them to confirm that an ORP electrode is reading correctly.

All 25 listings are Reagecon products. Values include 124 mV and 200 mV at 25°C, with each value available in more than one pack size. Because a redox electrode is verified rather than calibrated in the way a pH electrode is, these standards are used to confirm the electrode's response and to decide when cleaning or replacement is due.

Choose the standard closest to the potential you expect in your samples, and check the reference temperature stated on the label. If a reading drifts well away from the standard value, clean the electrode using a solution from our Electrode Care and Maintenance section before testing again. Send us a question if you need a different value.
