Phenyl
Phenyl is the Vintage Chrom ARO Phenyl range of HPLC columns, an aromatic bonded phase used by pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and natural-product laboratories. Phenyl columns separate aromatic compounds and positional isomers through pi-pi interactions that alkyl phases do not provide.
The 162 listings span three pore sizes: 100 Å for small molecules, 200 Å for intermediate analytes and 300 Å for peptides and proteins. Particle sizes of 3 µm and 5 µm are offered, with 125 × 4 mm among the sample formats. This pore range makes the ARO Phenyl column one of the few phenyl phases on the site suited to both small-molecule and biomolecule work.
Match pore size to analyte molecular weight first, then select particle size by the resolution and pressure your system supports. Methanol tends to emphasise phenyl selectivity more than acetonitrile. Lancetech Limited will quote any ARO Phenyl configuration.
