Monitors

Monitors are sealed, single-use filtration units in which the membrane stays in place from filtration through incubation. Water laboratories and beverage producers use monitors to simplify microbiological testing and reduce handling of the membrane.

Nine GVS listings are offered, all 56 mm sterile monitors packed 50 per pack. Membrane choices cover 0.2 µm, 0.45 µm and 0.8 µm pore sizes with either a white membrane and black grid or a black membrane and white grid, so the contrast can be matched to the organisms being counted.

Use 0.45 µm for standard coliform and total counts, 0.2 µm for finer retention and 0.8 µm where a more open membrane is required. Monitors connect to the GVS manifolds built for analytical funnels and monitors. Case quantities of monitors can be quoted on request.
