Flash chromatography
Flash chromatography is the preparative purification technique synthetic chemists use to isolate reaction products on pre-packed silica cartridges under moderate pressure. Medicinal chemistry, natural products and process development laboratories run flash chromatography daily.
All 65 listings are Macherey-Nagel CHROMABOND Flash RS cartridges. The samples shown are packed with SPHERE SiOH 25 µm spherical silica in polypropylene bodies with PE filter elements, at fill weights of 4 g, 12 g, 25 g and 40 g in packs of 20 or 15 depending on size.
Size the cartridge to the crude mass you need to purify and the separation difficulty, with larger silica loads for bigger batches or closely eluting compounds.
