Crimpers & decappers
Crimpers & decappers are the hand tools that fit and remove aluminium crimp caps on chromatography vials. Any laboratory preparing samples for an HPLC or GC autosampler with crimp-top vials needs one that matches its cap size.

Manual crimpers are available for 8 mm, 11 mm, 13 mm and 20 mm crimp caps, with standard height-adjustable models among the listings so the jaw can be set to the cap and vial combination in use. Decappers for removing used caps without damaging the vial are listed in the same section.
Choose the crimper by the cap diameter first, for example 11 mm for N 11 vials, then decide whether a height-adjustable head is needed for the vials you run.
