C8UL

C8UL HPLC columns are the Vintage Chrom Bond C8 UL phase, an octyl reversed-phase column given its own section for quick identification. Laboratories choose it for the intermediate retention of C8 chemistry in a compact 125 mm analytical format.

All 94 listings are built on 80 Å silica and come in 125 × 4 mm and 125 × 4.6 mm bores with 3 µm, 5 µm or 10 µm particles. The uniform pore size means the C8 UL range is specified by just two parameters, which simplifies ordering replacements.

Choose 4.6 mm to follow a standard method, 4 mm to cut solvent use a little. Three-micron columns give the sharpest peaks, 5 µm the easiest everyday operation and 10 µm the lowest pressure drop.
