Analytical Volumetric Concentrates
Analytical volumetric concentrates are single use ampoules that are diluted to one litre to give a titrant of known molarity. Laboratories that titrate occasionally, or that want fresh solution without weighing and standardising, use them as an alternative to working strength volumetric solutions.
Eight Reagecon ampoules are listed, including Ammonia to make 1 L of 0.1M, EDTA disodium salt to make 1 L of 0.01M or 0.1M for complexometric titrations, and Hydrochloric Acid to make 1 L of 1.0M. Each is described by both molarity and normality.
Choose the concentrate by the final concentration your method calls for, and dilute with water of suitable purity in a volumetric flask. For the same titrants at working strength, see Analytical Volumetric Solutions in the Titration section. Lancetech Limited can quote other concentrate ampoules on request.
