Petrochemical Cleaning/Rinse Solutions

Petrochemical Cleaning/Rinse Solutions are solvent preparations for cleaning the sample path and cells of infrared analysers used in fuel testing. Petroleum, biofuel and lubricant laboratories use them between samples to prevent carry-over.

Two Reagecon products are listed: an IR cleaning solution supplied as a solvent mix for removing fuel residues, and an IR rinse solution for the final flush before the next sample. The pair is intended to be used in sequence, cleaning first and rinsing second, so that no cleaning solvent remains to affect the following measurement.

If your analyser manufacturer specifies a particular cleaning solvent, check it against the composition of these solutions before changing over. Both products complement the calibration standards found elsewhere in Industry Specific, such as the Petrochemical Vapour Standards and FAME Calibration Standards.
