Electrode Care and Maintenance
Electrode Care and Maintenance solutions keep pH, ORP and ion selective electrodes clean, responsive and ready for calibration. Any laboratory running electrochemical measurements, from water testing to food and pharmaceutical QC, uses them to extend electrode life.
The 36 Reagecon listings target specific types of fouling. Pepsin-hydrochloric acid electrode cleaning solution removes protein deposits, thiourea-hydrochloric acid solution removes sulphide contamination, and the organic electrode cleaning solution deals with organic residues. Several solutions are available in more than one pack size.
Match the cleaner to the contaminant: protein-rich samples call for the pepsin-based cleaner, sulphide-bearing samples for the thiourea-based solution. Cleaning should be followed by recalibration with a fresh pH buffer, which you will find in the pH Buffer Solutions section. Send us a question if you are unsure which solution suits your samples.
