MNPK-CN

MNPK-CN brings together the Vintage Chrom Minipak CN cyano-bonded HPLC columns. Method developers use cyano columns in pharmaceutical, agrochemical and forensic laboratories because the phase works in both reversed-phase and normal-phase modes and gives a different selectivity from alkyl phases.

There are 68 listings, each packed with 125 Å silica carrying a cyanopropyl bonding, in 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes. Available formats include 125 × 4.6 mm and 125 × 3.9 mm. Under reversed-phase conditions the CN phase is far less retentive than C18, which shortens run times for strongly hydrophobic compounds; under normal-phase conditions it behaves as a moderately polar alternative to bare silica.
