HPL-BDSC8

HPL-BDSC8 HPLC columns hold the Vintage Chrom HyperVin BDS C8 phase, an octyl packing on base-deactivated silica. Pharmaceutical and clinical analysts use it when they need shorter retention than C18 but the same improved peak shape for amines and other basic compounds.

Fifty-four listings cover 125 × 4 mm and 125 × 4.6 mm columns with 3 µm, 5 µm and 10 µm particles, all on 120 Å silica. Dimensions and particle options mirror the HPL-BDSC18 section exactly, so swapping chain length is straightforward.

If your basic analyte elutes too late on BDS C18, the C8 version is the direct step down. Keep bore and particle size the same to preserve pressure and flow conditions, then re-optimise the gradient. For dimensions not listed, let us know and we will quote.
