Analytical Funnels & Monitors

Analytical Funnels & Monitors are single-use membrane filtration units for microbiological water testing. Water laboratories and bottling plants use them to filter a measured sample onto a membrane that is then incubated for colony counting.

Two GVS items are listed in this section: a sterile 56 mm black nitrocellulose monitor with a 0.45 µm membrane, packed 50 per pack, and a 300 ml polystyrene filtration unit with funnel, base, cover and reservoir. The black membrane gives contrast for counting pale colonies, while the complete unit suits labs that want funnel and collection in one piece.
