PSC8-C18 holds the Vintage Chrom Bond Pharm Sep C8/C18 HPLC columns, a mixed C8 and C18 bonded phase. Pharmaceutical analysts use it when a method needs retention between pure C8 and pure C18, or one column must cover a range of drug polarities.

The 55 listings use 100 Å silica in 3 µm, 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes, with formats including 125 × 4 mm and 125 × 4.6 mm. Combining two alkyl chain lengths on the same surface yields an intermediate hydrophobicity and a selectivity that can separate pairs which co-elute on either single-chain column, particularly in impurity and stability-indicating methods.
