Total Acid No. / Total Base No. titrants are non aqueous volumetric solutions used to determine the acid number and base number of lubricating oils, fuels and other petroleum products. Oil condition monitoring, refinery and lubricant QC laboratories use them for ASTM methods.

Sixty Reagecon products are listed, including Total Acid Number (TAN) titrants of 0.1M and 0.01M Potassium Hydroxide in propan-2-ol prepared for ASTM D664, with the lower concentration suited to samples of low acidity. Base number titrants fall under the same category heading.

Choose the potassium hydroxide concentration by the expected acid number of your samples, and the solvent system that your potentiometric method specifies.
