PES Disc Membrane

A PES disc membrane is a polyethersulfone filter used for aqueous clarification and prefiltration. Pharmaceutical, biotechnology and water laboratories specify PES disc membranes for buffers, media and sample clean-up ahead of finer filtration.

This section lists one GVS item: a 25 mm polyethersulfone disc at 5.0 µm, supplied in packs of 100. Finer PES discs, including 47 mm sterile 0.22 µm and 0.45 µm formats, are found in the general Membranes section of the disc and sheet membrane range.

The 5.0 µm grade is a prefilter choice for removing coarse particulate before a finer membrane or a syringe filter, protecting the downstream filter from early blocking. Lancetech Limited can quote additional PES disc sizes and pore ratings from GVS on request.
