Lint-Free Blotting Paper
Lint-free blotting paper absorbs excess liquid from membranes, gels and filter discs without leaving fibres behind. Molecular biology and microbiology laboratories use lint-free blotting paper during membrane handling where loose lint would compromise a result.
The section currently lists one GVS item: lint-free blotting paper cut to 114 mm by 74 mm and supplied in packs of ten. The size suits the smaller sheet membranes and disc membranes in the GVS range, such as the 70 x 84 mm PVDF sheets.
Use it in place of generic tissue wherever a membrane will be imaged, weighed or probed afterwards. If you need a larger sheet or a different cut, Lancetech Limited can ask GVS about alternative blotting paper formats and quote accordingly.
