PCB Congener Standards

PCB congener standards are reference solutions of individual polychlorinated biphenyl congeners, identified by IUPAC number, used in environmental and food laboratories for GC-MS and high resolution mass spectrometry work on persistent organic pollutants.

The product currently available is a Reagecon Decachlorobiphenyl standard, the 13C12 labelled IUPAC number 209 congener at 99 percent isotopic purity, supplied at 40 µg/mL in nonane. Labelled congeners of this kind are generally used for isotope dilution quantification and recovery monitoring rather than as native calibrants.
