NY Sheet Membrane

NY sheet membranes are nylon filters supplied as rectangular sheets for blotting, transfer and custom-cut filtration. Molecular biology and analytical laboratories use a nylon sheet membrane where disc formats do not fit the apparatus.

Three GVS listings are available: a 0.22 µm HY-grade sheet at 4 x 5.25 inches in packs of ten, a 0.45 µm HY NJ sheet at 15 x 15 cm in packs of five, and a 0.45 µm SP sheet at 3 x 4.5 inches in packs of 100.

Pick 0.22 µm for the finest retention and 0.45 µm for general transfer or filtration, then choose the sheet size closest to your gel or holder to minimise trimming. Lancetech Limited can quote other nylon sheet sizes from GVS if these cuts do not suit.
