NAPP-PFP

NAPP-PFP groups the Vintage Chrom Nappa PFP pentafluorophenyl HPLC columns. Pharmaceutical and clinical laboratories use PFP phases to separate halogenated compounds, positional isomers and basic drugs that C18 columns resolve poorly.

Fifty-four listings are available on 100 Å silica in 3 µm, 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes, with formats including 125 × 4 mm and 125 × 4.6 mm. The fluorinated aromatic ligand combines hydrophobic, pi-pi, dipole and ion-exchange interactions, which gives PFP columns a markedly different selectivity from the Nappa C18(2) and phenyl hexyl phases on the same silica.
