MCE Disc Membrane

An MCE disc membrane is a mixed cellulose ester filter, a standard choice for microbiological counts, particle analysis and general aqueous filtration. Water testing, pharmaceutical QC and environmental laboratories specify MCE disc membranes for this work.

Four GVS listings are available: 13 mm discs in black at 0.45 µm and in white at 0.8 µm, a 50 mm white disc at 0.45 µm, all in packs of 100, and a 293 mm white disc at 0.1 µm in packs of 25.

White membranes suit most filtration tasks, while black MCE discs give contrast for counting colonies or particles under a microscope. Pick 0.45 µm for routine microbiology and 0.1 µm where fine particles must be retained. Lancetech Limited can quote additional MCE disc sizes from GVS.
