Solid phase extraction (SPE)
Solid phase extraction (SPE) is the sample preparation step that cleans up and concentrates analytes on a packed sorbent before HPLC, GC or LC-MS analysis. Environmental, food, clinical and pharmaceutical laboratories use SPE to remove matrix interference.
The 601 Macherey-Nagel listings cover SPE columns and cartridges together with preparative glassware: glass flash chromatography columns with adaptor and PTFE valve in 20 mm x 400 mm and 40 mm x 450 mm formats, and 1 L and 2 L flash eluent reservoirs with adaptor.
Choose the sorbent chemistry by analyte polarity and the sample matrix, then the bed mass by the sample volume. Vacuum manifolds, adapters and filter elements are listed in the SPE accessories section, and pre-packed flash cartridges in the flash chromatography section. Lancetech Limited can quote on method-specific SPE requirements.
