QuEChERS

QuEChERS is the extraction and dispersive SPE clean-up approach used for pesticide residues in fruit, vegetables and other foods. Food safety, contract testing and agricultural laboratories use these kits ahead of GC-MS or LC-MS/MS analysis.

The 73 GVS listings follow the AOAC 2007.01 format: extraction kits with 6 g magnesium sulfate and 1.5 g sodium acetate salts packed with 50 mL centrifuge tubes, offered with or without a tube shelf and with ceramic homogenisers, plus clean-up tubes such as 50 mg PSA with 150 mg magnesium sulfate in packs of 100.

Start by confirming which standard method your laboratory follows, as the salt and sorbent combinations differ between methods, then choose the clean-up tube to suit the commodity's fat and pigment content.
