Primary Reference Standard
A Primary Reference Standard is a highly characterised substance used at the top of the calibration chain: working standards are prepared and checked against it. Pharmaceutical QC, microbiology and research laboratories buy primary reference standards for assay, method validation and potency testing.
This section lists more than 2,800 TOKU-E primary reference standards. Typical entries are antibiotics such as Actinomycin D, offered in 5 mg, 10 mg and 25 mg vials, and Amikacin in a 1 g pack, so you can buy the quantity that suits a single study or a running QC programme.
Pick the pack size from how many weighings your method needs and how long an opened vial will remain in use, and keep the primary standard separate from the working standards you derive from it. Where a method names a different primary standard, Lancetech Limited can quote it on request.
