Polar

Polar lists the Vintage Chrom Bond Polar HPLC columns, a polar-modified reversed-phase material. Pharmaceutical, food and environmental laboratories use polar-embedded or polar-endcapped columns for basic and polar analytes that tail or elute early on conventional C18 phases.

The 94 listings are supplied on 120 Å silica in 3 µm, 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes, including 125 × 4 mm and 125 × 4.6 mm formats. A polar reversed-phase column tolerates highly aqueous mobile phases and shields residual silanols, which improves peak shape for bases and gives a selectivity different from the Bond Mono C18 column on the same site.
