Buffer

Buffer solutions keep pH and ionic strength constant through washing, dilution and incubation steps in molecular and cell biology. Research laboratories, diagnostic developers and life science QC teams use phosphate and Tris buffers daily.

Forty-five GVS buffer products are listed in this section, supplied in packs of 50. Formulations include PBS (10 mM phosphate, 137 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, pH 7.4), PBS with 0.05% Tween-20 for applications that need a detergent, DPBS (10 mM phosphate, 138 mM NaCl, 2.67 mM KCl, pH 7.4) and TBS (10 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.6).

Choose PBS or DPBS for general phosphate-buffered work, TBS where a Tris-based buffer is specified, and the Tween-20 version for wash steps that benefit from a mild surfactant.
