Aqua
Aqua HPLC columns in this section are wide-pore Vintage Chrom Bio Aqua phases built for aqueous separations of large biomolecules. Biochemistry, biopharmaceutical and protein chemistry laboratories use them where standard small-pore columns restrict access for proteins and peptides.
Across 162 listings you will find 125 × 4 mm columns with 3 µm and 5 µm particles and three pore sizes: 400 Å, 700 Å and 1200 Å. Pore size is the main selection variable in this range, since a large protein needs a pore several times its own diameter to diffuse into the packing.
Pick 400 Å for peptides and smaller proteins, 700 Å for mid-sized proteins, and 1200 Å for very large proteins or assemblies. Where a method is already validated on another wide-pore column, matching pore size first and particle size second usually gives the closest result.
