UNS-C8

UNS-C8 completes the Uniformity Secure trio in the HPLC Columns range with Vintage Chrom Vintage Uniformity Secure C8, an octyl phase on 100 Å silica. It is a practical reversed-phase choice for pharmaceutical, environmental and food laboratories running methods on conventional HPLC systems.

Ninety-four columns are offered in 125 x 4 mm and 125 x 4.6 mm formats, each available with 3.5 µm, 5 µm or 10 µm particles. The three grades share one surface chemistry, so retention order is preserved when moving from a 10 µm scouting column to a 3.5 µm analytical one.

A C8 is often the right compromise when a C18 retains hydrophobic analytes too strongly but a C4 gives too little retention for polar impurities.
