PFP

PFP is the pentafluorophenyl section of our HPLC columns, built around the Vintage Chrom FSep 5Phenyl and FSep 5Phenyl HS phases. Pharmaceutical, clinical and forensic laboratories use PFP columns for halogenated drugs, basic compounds and isomers that co-elute on C18.

With 270 listings, this is a broad range. The standard FSep 5Phenyl is bonded on 100 Å silica, while the HS variant uses 60 Å silica with a higher surface area for greater retention. Both come in 3 µm and 5 µm particle sizes, with 125 × 4 mm among the sample formats. A pentafluorophenyl ligand brings pi-pi, dipole and ion-exchange interactions on top of hydrophobic retention.

Choose the 60 Å HS phase when analytes are weakly retained and the 100 Å phase for general PFP selectivity screening. Keep a C18 column alongside for orthogonal confirmation. Lancetech Limited can quote any FSep 5Phenyl column.
