MNPK-SI contains the Vintage Chrom Minipak Silica normal-phase HPLC columns. Chemists in fine-chemical, lipid and natural-product laboratories use bare silica for separations that depend on polarity differences rather than hydrophobicity, typically in hexane or heptane based mobile phases.

The 68 listings use unbonded 125 Å silica in 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes, with 125 × 4.6 mm and 125 × 3.9 mm formats among them. Compared with the 100 Å silica in other Vintage Chrom ranges, the wider pore gives a slightly different surface area and retention profile, which can help when a method needs tuning. The 10 µm packing is suited to heavier sample loads and lower operating pressures.
